THE HARBOR LIGHTS has one of the least up tight atmospheres around for those who would rather relax as they dig the music. It’s out in Ecorse at N. Jefferson.

THE CREAM, this time they should actually make it to Detroit without anyone having babies or bummers. They’ll be at the Grande Ballroom.

THE NEW CINEMA is a totally gassy place to go after your date instead of Hojo’s. It’s only $1.50 for students & you see a bunch of freaky flics from the underground. Shows are at Midnight & 1:30 am in the Studio North-9 Mile & Woodward.

RUSS GIBB raps on the radio, WKNR—FM no less, and plays actual music, not the bullshit promo overnight hippy psychedelic garbage so often played by the x-Maring top 40 d.j.s who just got with it. Real music from 3 to 9 pm at 101 FM

YOJIMBO by Akira Kurosawa at the Studio 1, Livernois at Davison at 7:30 & 9:30 pm. for $2, unless you’re a girl & then it won’t cost you anything if you can sucker some boy into paying twice the amount, or unless you’ve got connections and can get in free or unless you spend $9 to see the whole Repetory 1 series that this is a part of.

CHILDREN’S FILMS is a real nice thing the WSU Cinema Guild people are doing with the help of donations from everybody and anybody. They’re showing FREE cartoons & shorts Saturdays from 2-4 pm. in Upper DeRoy. Send or bring your kids & tell any little kids you see running around the neighborhood.

THE CREAM and a bunch of Jeep Holland’s bands appear at the Grande Ballroom where you can dig the music and observe the groupies vying for the body of Eric Clapton. Course there’ll probably be more groupy action Sunday night when you don’t have to be 17.

THE CASTLE according to the Phenomena Freaks is an out of sight place and the light show is reputedly the Best. Tonight-the bands the WANTED. The place is at Chene & Trombly and the admission only $2.50.

THE HARBOR LIGHTS is kind of far out, being in Ecorse, at W. Jefferson & Outer Drive, but a lot of Detroit people would really dig it as you can sit in cushioned seats & groove to the music without hassle or dance with total freedom. It can be got to by taking Southfield south to the end, at Jefferson & going left one mile. People coming in from Ann Arbor would find it right on the way home. Dig it.

CANADIAN UNDERGROUND all sorts of experimental films that I’ve already listed for June 7 and you can look there to learn the details. I will say the shows are at 11 pm & 1 am in the Detroit Repertory Theater, 13103 Woodrow Wilson, Costing $1.50 for students.

NEW CINEMA. A nice place to go when you’re unable to sleep for reasons of your own & perhaps you want to do something strange so you head for the Studio North & dig the flics at Midnight & 1:30 am.

WABX 99.5 FM uses actual freaks to get their music across Sunday nights and so it is well worth the listening. The people know, love & play real Music. It is a necessity to dig BARRY KRAMER’S Show from 8 to 9, JOHN KERNEY’S Show, STUMBLE, from 10 to 11. And MIKE KERMAN with HOUND DOG, from 11 to midnight. It’s better than listening to your record player cause you needn’t turn them over.
